The Friends of the Butte Theatre in conjunction with the City of Cripple Creek is very proud to announce our 2026 season!

We are presenting a larger variety of shows for your enjoyment. Please keep us on your Calendar and get involved! Come out to audition! Volunteers are greatly appreciated. Our goal is to bring Cripple Creek the very best possible community theater performances for 2026! It is so much fun and you’ll make lifelong friends.

Rob is the President of the Friends of the Butte Theater. Has been acting since a very young age and has been in too many productions to count. He wrote and performed as Jimmy Dean in the hit musical CRAZY, a tribute to Patsy Cline that is still touring the country, hopefully going to Nashville in 2026. He is an ordained minister and pastors a small senior singles group in the Springs. Rob has one daughter, Danielle, who is married and lives in Colorado Springs. His love is theater and he loves Cripple Creek.

Lori Hankins is originally from Texas, but got to Cripple Creek as fast as she could! Lori has been a member of the Friends of the Butte since 2023 and serves as the secretary. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Joey, and they have 3 children and 8 perfect grandchildren. Lori works for the City of Cripple Creek, grooms dogs on her days off and is a member of the Two Mile High Club.

Lori enjoys being outdoors, hiking, gardening or playing with her two Great Danes. She used to team rope and hopes to one day get a barn built, buy a new horse and start roping again. Theater is something she has always enjoyed and has even performed in a play at the Butte.

We are always looking for people to volunteer with the Friends of the Butte Theater. If you love The Butte Theater, theater in general, giving back to your community or just having fun, we would love to have you join us!
